Poco Encantado - Enchanted Pool Cave is a magical underground cave pool with crystal clear waters, 60 m deep. Chapada Diamantina is one of the most beautiful national parks in Brazil. It is located in the heart of the state of Bahia.Approximately 400 km from the state capital, Salvador, there is a wonderful place called Poco Encantado or Enchanted Well. This is a huge sunken pool in the cave, which is located at a depth of about 37 m. To see all the beauty of the crystal clear blue water you have to go down for 80 meters by a steep descent of the cave. The water is so clear that you can see the foundation of mountains and trunks the ancient trees at the bottom of the lake. If you decide to visit this “enchanted” place, it is recommended to go in the period from April to September.
